WEWANTOSEE

Japan-Belgium International Art Exhibition in Kanazawa

2016.9.28 (Wed.) -

2016.10.9 (Sun.)

About the Exhibition:

As part of a cultural enterprise commemorating 150 years of friendly relations between Japan and Belgium, this is an international exchange art exhibition featuring 32 artists representing both countries.

In Kanazawa, with its rich history of international exchange as sister city of 45 years to Ghent, Belgium, which retains a strong remnant of the Middle Ages, we host an art exhibition of a collection of pieces by artists leading the modern age in both countries, in order to further deepen cultural exchanges and cross-cultural understanding in the future.

Most of the participating artists for both countries have a deep connection to Ghent or Kanazawa.

Participating Artists:

Steven Baelen, Yasuyoshi Botan, Thomas Bogaert, Yoko Enoki, Céline Butaye, Gin Hasegawa, Johan De Wilde, Chisato Ishiyama, Elke Andreas Boon, Yoshio Kamitani, Marie Cloquet, Satoshi Kikuya, Isa D'hondt, Takahiro Kudo, Mario De Brabandere, Rikuji Makabe, Dieter De Lathauwer, Shichio Minato, Marnix Everaert, Saori Miyake, Tatjana Gerhard, Jin Ote, Cindy Morlion, Hiraki Sawa, Meggy Rustamova, Kazumi Sshimode, Ante Timmermans, Atsuki Takamoto, Servi van Grinsven, Masami Yamamoto, Colin Waeghe, Motoi Yamamoto
